This fall has been beautiful, everyone has been enjoying the extended season filled with vibrant colors of the foliage and warmer than usual weather. With this long autumn, the holiday season is all of a sudden upon us. Thanksgiving is in just two weeks, and Romanoff Elements is happy to be participating in an event to give thanks within our community. My family and I will celebrate 30 years in Armonk next month, our children attended the local schools and we have shared almost as many years of friendship with our local friends.
When we moved from Manhattan to Armonk, I was given a list of names, (this was pre-Facebook and Armonk Moms), friends of friends, various people to reach out to. Ironically, several of my closest friends today were on that initial list. Harriet Libov and I were neighbors in the city, but didn't meet until we were having pizza with our kids one night at Broadway North. Harriet, with Houlihan Lawrence, and I are excited about planning an event, bringing together our respective interests and working together with the Byram Hills Education Foundation.

This is a special community, filled with families with shared interests, a primary one being our children’s education. The BHEF was founded in 1994 to “provide financial support to the Byram Hills School district to introduce creative programs…that are outside normal programming…allowing teachers to ‘think outside the box’.” The volunteer-driven organization reviews and provides grants to programs throughout the system. Over the years, the foundation has awarded over 325 grants totaling nearly $3.7 million. It has been Harriet’s and my pleasure to work with the Foundation’s Board on this new event, and to donate part of the proceeds of sales from the Art Pop-Up to the BHEF.
Romanoff Elements is a local business that provides artwork for our clients, for both their homes and businesses. We offer a personalized service, our goal is to find artworks that speak to our clients, that relate to their interests and taste, as well as budget. We work with a variety of artists, artwork in many medium and genres, including drawings, prints, paintings, photography and mixed media. Our range of work is suitable for traditional spacesto contemporary
and more modern homes
We are continually sourcing new artworks and are open to finding and commissioning site specific pieces when it’s appropriate for a project. This is a large-scale textural encaustic piece that resonated with our clients' for their modern and artisanal home
Most projects begin in our clients home to learn about what they are looking for, to explore their tastes, interests and budget. Our clients range from first time art buyers to collectors of all types.
We have a large archive of images to browse and ideas of how art looks in different settings. We encourage buying original artwork, regardless of genre, and offer possibilities at all price levels and sizes, whether an installation
or one painting to be the focal point of a room
An additional service we provide that clients find very helpful, is customized digital mock-ups. We will impose potential artworks into a client’s space digitally to illustrate how a choice of 2 or 3 works may look. This provides a great visual, sometimes it’s just hard to imagine how something will look. For this project, we considered various abstract seascapes by John Duckworth, we looked at vertical image
or a square
This was our client's selection, and a view of the artwork installed
At the Shop Art & Give Thanks Pop-Up on Nov 21st and 22nd, we will have a sampling of artworks for sale. There will be some gift items, small prints, small framed photos and paintings as well as larger works for sale. This event is also an opportunity to highlight a stunning residence for sale within the Byram Hills School District.
We hope you’ll join Harriet and I, whether to buy gifts, art for yourself or get ideas for when you’re ready to purchase art. The Byram Hills Education Foundation provides a valuable resource in the community and we hope you’ll help us support their efforts.
Look forward to meeting you at our Pop Up art event!
